Traveling from the U.S.A., I recently had the pleasure of dining at iL Forno in Woodbridge, ON, Canada, and it has quickly become one of my favorite Italian restaurants. If you have a party of six and want to eat during dinner house, make a reservation. There are lineups at dinner time with hungry duos and foursomes forming a line that snakes all the way to the cases of steaming ducks, chickens and succulent pigs where you can get fantastic BBQ takeout. I once took a couple of pounds of BBQ pork to a small birthday party, and it was all gone by the time my spouse parked the car. This restaurant provides excellent food at reasonable prices if you order the dinner for 4, or 6, or however many there are in your party. The menu is fixed, but flexible in the choice of appetizers. The meal begins with broth, and appetizers but ends up with so many different dishes that the table groans. The food is fresh and dellcious homestyle Cantonese cooking. My mom and I and my 2 boys went early on a Sat. night, I was very pleased with the service, the decor, the menu, we both got the roast beef and the shrimp appetizer, both were awesome, the shrimp were huge, the meat cooked to perfection to what we had asked for, yorkshire pudding, fresh vegetables cooked right, homemade mashed potatoes, the boys ate of the kids menu which I was surprised they even had as it looks fine dining when you walk in, the chicken fingers and fries were delicious. The waiters treated us very kindly and were very attentive, when they found out it was my birthday dinner they brought out cake and sang, when we were leaving the place was packed, perhaps an upscale crowd judging by the fancy cars in the parking lot, they also have a separate lounge and outdoor patio, both very nice and comfortable and a sign that said free h'ors doeurves from 4 - 6 during the week, I'm definitely going back and would highly recommend this restaurant.
