Dr. Jeff Barr was born and raised in central Alberta. After completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Detroit Mercy, he practised in Red Deer, Alberta for 10 years. In the fall of 2020, he relocated to Okotoks with his wife and daughter, where he joined My Family Dental. Both the practice and the town proved to be an excellent fit, and Dr. Barr and his family have continued to live and plant roots in this great community.
Dr. Barr enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a special interest in pediatrics and family dentistry. His practice philosophy revolves around education, prevention, and a conservative approach to treatment. Several times each day, patients will hear the phrase, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, an approach that has guided him throughout his career.
Away from the office, Dr. Barr remains actively involved in the Okotoks community, as well as playing hockey, golf and most racquet sports. He keeps busy following his daughter’s interests and coaching her in several different sports.
